Pressure Washing: The 3 Step Process

Pressure Washing: The 3 Step Process

3 step pressure washingPressure washing, in most cases for us is a 3 step process; specifically when it comes to house washing. The length of the pressure washing process varies from house to house but it yields fantastic results! I will share some of our pressure washing process with you but I can’t share all of our secrets :).

Step 1. First we prep the surface. This is extremely important for us because we use detergents combined with pressure washing to get us the great results we achieve. We spray the entire section we are pressure washing down with water and another additive that makes our prep more effective. If you have ever heard of people complaining about having chalky residue left behind then you can relate to why we do this. Prepping the surface before pressure washing is going to give you a silky smooth finish you want. The prep doesn’t have to sit any specific amount of time, once you have applied it you can proceed to step 2 of the pressure washing process.

Step 2. Apply the mix. This is a probably the most important factor to achieving great results. Your pressure washing mix has to be a great one. I’ll give you some insight on our mix. We use detergent, wax, and water but you should know what you’re doing before using these; especially the wax! This mix is very effective because it does so many things for us. It kills mold, mildew and other allergens, it has surfactants in it that make our detergent last longer, and it leaves a nice shine because of the wax in it. Your home is going to be restored to it’s old glory.

– Let it sit. Now move on to the next section of your house and begin steps 1 and 2 on it. This will help you be more efficient. Let the detergent on the previous section sit for about 10 minutes especially if it is very dirty.

Your siding should have went from dull and dirty to clean and vibrant like the picture below. That is an actual house that we cleaned this past year.
